Blaster Cylinder Porting


The Blaster Cylinder is primitive to put it best. Casting flaws and misaligned ports are abundant. If you want to try to port your own Blaster cylinder, I'll be the first one to tell you to go for it. You can get by with a Dremel and a few tools for it. If you feel up to the task of porting your own cylinder, be sure to watch the “How to port your own cylinder “ videos on this page. Cleaning up the ports and removing all of the imperfections in your Blaster cylinder is only going to help. If you try this, I would caution you to be very careful not to enlarge the ports unless you have a pretty good idea of what you're doing. Books by Gordon Jennings and A. Graham Bell are both great reads and written in language anyone can understand. Before you try porting your own Blaster cylinder, take some time and read these books. Both links are posted here.
