Description
Yamaha Blaster Boyesen RAD Valve
The Yamaha Blaster Boyesen RAD Valve is a complete performance intake system engineered specifically for the 1988–2006 Yamaha YFS200 Blaster. Unlike a standard replacement reed cage, the RAD Valve combines the intake manifold, aerodynamic valve body and performance reed system into one matched assembly.
Boyesen’s model-specific internal design helps the air-and-fuel mixture move smoothly from the carburetor into the engine. Reducing turbulence and eliminating restrictive edges improves intake efficiency, producing sharper throttle response and stronger acceleration throughout the Blaster’s usable power range.
Model-Specific Performance
Every Boyesen RAD Valve is designed around the engine characteristics of a specific machine. The Blaster version uses reed-petal tension and intake geometry selected for the 200cc Yamaha two-stroke engine.
This makes it an excellent upgrade for stock engines as well as Blasters equipped with common performance modifications such as an aftermarket exhaust, upgraded carburetor, high-flow air filter, modified cylinder head or ported cylinder.
Multi-Stage Carbon Fiber Reeds
The included multi-stage carbon fiber reeds react quickly to changes in engine pressure. This allows the reeds to open efficiently during acceleration and seal properly as pressure reverses.
Benefits may include:
- Quicker and crisper throttle response
- Improved intake efficiency
- Stronger acceleration
- Better power delivery across the RPM range
- Lightweight, responsive carbon fiber reeds
- Complete model-specific intake assembly
- Bolt-on installation without permanently modifying the intake boot
Complete Bolt-On Intake Upgrade
The Boyesen RAD Valve replaces the original Yamaha Blaster intake manifold and reed cage with a coordinated performance assembly. Its seamless one-piece design provides a smoother intake path than the separate factory manifold and reed-cage arrangement.
This is a true bolt-on upgrade for the Yamaha Blaster. Always inspect the intake gaskets and sealing surfaces during installation. Because intake modifications can affect the engine’s air-and-fuel requirements, carburetor jetting should be checked before extended full-throttle operation.
