Cylinder Head Reconditioning
Ken OConnor Racing provides professional four stroke cylinder head reconditioning for motorcycle and ATV engines. Every cylinder head is carefully inspected to identify worn valves, valve guides, valve seats and sealing surfaces before machining begins.
Our in house cylinder head services include precision valve seat machining, valve guide replacement, valve lash adjustment, cylinder head resurfacing and complete disassembly, cleaning and assembly. Accurate machining helps restore compression, valve sealing and dependable engine performance.
Cylinder Head Reconditioning

Why cylinder head maintenance matters
Valves, guides and valve seats begin wearing whenever the engine is running. As valves wear, the valve faces may become distorted and stop contacting the seats evenly. This can reduce compression, accelerate guide and seat wear and eventually cause serious engine damage.
Regular inspection and cylinder head reconditioning can identify these problems before a worn valve or damaged valvetrain causes a costly engine failure. Racing engines and machines operated in severe conditions may require inspection more frequently than recreational engines.
