This genuine OEM Yamaha Blaster long cylinder stud is the correct factory replacement for a damaged, corroded, bent or missing cylinder base stud. Yamaha part number 90116-08388 is the longer stud that threads into the engine case and secures the cylinder to the crankcase.
The cylinder base studs must provide proper alignment and consistent clamping force between the cylinder and engine case. Damaged or incorrect studs can interfere with cylinder installation, prevent proper torque and contribute to cylinder base gasket sealing problems.

Long Stud Identification
The Yamaha Blaster engine uses different-length case-to-cylinder studs. Part number 90116-08388 is the long cylinder base stud. Do not confuse it with Yamaha part number 90116-08318, which is the short engine case-to-cylinder stud. The long studs are installed in the same location as the dowel pins.
Inspect all cylinder mounting studs whenever the top end is removed. Replace any studs with damaged threads, corrosion, bending or signs of previous improper installation.
