Motion Pro Shorty Rear Brake Kit for Yamaha Blaster
The Motion Pro Shorty Rear Brake Kit simplifies the rear brake cable arrangement on your 1988–2002 Yamaha Blaster. It replaces the original hand/foot brake cable with a shorter cable running directly between the rear brake pedal and mechanical rear caliper.
Foot-pedal-only rear brake operation
This kit eliminates the original cable connection from the handlebar. After installation, the rear brake operates through the foot pedal.
It is designed for the original cable-operated rear brake system. It does not convert the rear brake to hydraulic operation.
Cable construction
The cable features black vinyl coil-wound housing and an inner nylon sleeve for smooth operation and longer service life. Motion Pro

- Pedal connection hardware shown in the product photo: shoulder pin, spacer, washer, and cotter pin.
The rear caliper and brake pedal are retained.
Fitment

- Standard-length kit; extended swingarms require checking cable length before ordering.
Installation
Follow Motion Pro’s supplied installation instructions. Fit the replacement gasket, route the cable correctly, and adjust the brake.
