Description
OEM Yamaha Blaster Flywheel Nut and Washer
This Yamaha Blaster flywheel nut and washer set provides OEM retaining hardware for the flywheel end of the crankshaft. Use it when replacing damaged or missing hardware during flywheel removal, ignition repairs or engine rebuilding.
The nut and washer work together to apply the clamping load that holds the flywheel on the crankshaft taper. Correct hardware and proper installation are essential for a secure assembly.
What’s Included
- One OEM flywheel retaining nut.
- One OEM flywheel washer.
The product photo shows a flanged hex nut and a separate flat washer.
When to Replace the Hardware
Inspect the nut’s threads and wrench flats whenever the flywheel is removed. Check the washer for damage or distortion, and inspect the crankshaft threads before assembly.
Replace components that cannot engage or seat correctly. Damaged retaining hardware should be addressed before returning the engine to service.
Installation
Inspect the flywheel and crankshaft mating surfaces, and follow the Yamaha service manual for preparation and assembly. Install the washer and nut in the specified arrangement.
Use the appropriate flywheel holding tool and a torque wrench. Follow the applicable tightening specification and thread-condition instructions rather than estimating tightness.
