Carburetor Jetting
A performance carburetor must be jetted for the individual machine. Engine porting, compression, pipe selection, reeds, air-filter setup, elevation and outside temperature can all change the required jetting.
Begin with a safe, rich setting and make one adjustment at a time. Check throttle response and spark-plug condition before operating the engine under sustained load. Running a two-stroke engine with excessively lean jetting can cause overheating and serious engine damage.
