ProX pilot jets are precision-manufactured replacement jets designed for compatible Keihin carburetors. They provide consistent fuel flow and accurate sizing, making them an excellent choice for carburetor tuning, maintenance and everyday replacement.
The pilot jet—also called the slow jet—primarily controls fuel delivery from idle through approximately ¼ throttle. It also affects starting, warm-up, throttle response and the transition from the pilot circuit to the needle circuit. An incorrectly sized pilot jet can cause hard starting, poor idling, hesitation, excessive smoke or sluggish low-throttle performance.

A larger-numbered pilot jet supplies more fuel for a richer mixture, while a smaller-numbered jet supplies less fuel for a leaner mixture.
Please verify the required pilot-jet series and size before ordering. Keihin carburetors use several pilot-jet styles that may look similar but are not interchangeable.
Jetting requirements vary depending on the engine, carburetor, modifications, fuel, premix ratio, elevation and weather conditions. Always begin with a safely rich setting and make one adjustment at a time. Running an engine too lean can cause overheating, detonation and serious engine damage.
