Application

When to Replace Packing
Inspect the packing when exhaust sound increases or during scheduled silencer maintenance. Replace material that has deteriorated, become heavily oil-saturated or blown out.
Installation
Allow the exhaust to cool before disassembly. Inspect and clean the silencer core, then install the packing according to the silencer manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid compressing the material more tightly than specified.
