Every cylinder is prepared by Ken OConnor Racing, an experienced motorcycle and ATV engine machine shop. The cylinder bore is matched to the supplied piston rather than relying on a generic, out-of-the-box cylinder finish.

Professionally Bored for the Supplied Piston

Correct piston-to-cylinder clearance is critical to engine life, compression and performance. This cylinder is bored for the included Wossner forged piston, helping provide the proper running clearance for the piston being installed.

The 66.5mm bore provides a fresh cylinder surface and a matched piston-and-cylinder combination for your Yamaha YFS200 Blaster engine.

Trail Ported for Usable Performance

A trail engine needs more than a narrow burst of high-RPM power. The porting in this cylinder is intended to provide responsive, usable performance across the RPM range. This makes the kit well suited for trail riding, woods riding and recreational performance builds.

Porting can improve how efficiently the engine moves the air-and-fuel mixture through the cylinder. The final results will also depend on carburetor jetting, exhaust system, reeds, compression, ignition condition and the overall engine combination.

Wossner Forged Piston

The kit includes a quality Wossner forged piston sized for the finished 66.5mm cylinder bore. Wossner pistons are widely used in performance two-stroke engines where strength and dependable operation are important.

Proper engine warm-up, carburetor jetting, air-fuel mixture and break-in procedures remain essential when installing any forged piston.

Designed for the Yamaha YFS200 Blaster, model years 1988–2006.

Before installation, verify that your engine cases, crankshaft, connecting rod, bearings, seals, intake system and carburetor are in serviceable condition. Air leaks or incorrect jetting can damage a new top end.

For the best results, perform a crankcase leak-down test after assembly and confirm carburetor jetting before operating the engine under heavy load.
