Worn clutch basket cushions can allow excessive movement between the Yamaha Blaster clutch basket and primary driven gear. This can create unwanted play, noise and harsh engagement. These H&N Racing Yamaha Blaster clutch cushions provide a purpose-built replacement for the original cushions inside the clutch basket assembly.

Unlike makeshift replacements intended for other ATV models, this kit is designed specifically for the Yamaha YFS200 Blaster clutch basket. It is an excellent choice when rebuilding an OEM clutch basket or installing the original driven gear onto an aftermarket basket.

When should clutch cushions be replaced?

The clutch cushions should be inspected whenever the basket is removed or disassembled. Replacement may be necessary if you find:

• Excessive movement between the clutch basket and driven gear
• Hardened, cracked or deformed cushions
• Unusual clutch or primary-drive noise
• Harsh clutch engagement
• A loose or rattling driven gear

Replacing the cushions during a clutch basket rebuild helps restore a tighter connection between the basket and gear.

Installation note

Installing clutch basket cushions requires disassembling the basket from the primary driven gear. The original fasteners or rivets must be removed and the assembly securely fastened after the new cushions are installed. Professional installation is recommended if you do not have the tools or experience to correctly rebuild a clutch basket.
