Replace a worn Yamaha Blaster output shaft seal and service the front sprocket retention hardware with this Hot Rods kit. The output shaft, also called the countershaft, carries the front drive sprocket.

Application and Purpose
The oil seal helps retain transmission lubricant where the output shaft exits the crankcase. The locking plate secures the front sprocket in the correct retaining arrangement.
Inspect this area when investigating oil leakage behind the front sprocket. Check the shaft’s sealing surface and surrounding components, since a new seal alone will not correct damage or excessive shaft movement.
Installation
Clean the surrounding area before disassembly. Follow Yamaha’s service procedures for seal orientation, installation depth and sprocket retention. Inspect the locking-plate bolts and replace damaged hardware as needed.
Confirm compatibility before ordering if your engine or sprocket-retention system has been modified.
