About Ken OConnor Racing

Precision Engine Machining Since 1983

Ken OConnor Racing is a full-service motorcycle and ATV engine machine shop located in Danielson, Connecticut. Since 1983, we have provided precision engine machining, rebuilding and performance services for riders, racers, repair shops and engine builders throughout the United States and around the world.

We work on a wide variety of two-stroke and four-stroke engines from Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM and other leading manufacturers. Although we are widely known for our experience with Yamaha Blaster engines, our capabilities extend far beyond any single model or brand.

Whether you are restoring a vintage motorcycle, rebuilding a damaged ATV engine or preparing a race engine for competition, we have the knowledge, equipment and hands-on experience to do the job correctly.

Complete Motorcycle and ATV Engine Services

Our in-house engine machining and rebuilding services include:

All engine assembly and machine work is performed by experienced KOR technicians. We do not operate as a middleman for routine engine machining. Keeping our core services in-house gives us control over accuracy, workmanship and the finished result.

Experience You Can Depend On

Engine machining is not simply a matter of removing metal. Proper clearances, surface finishes, alignment and assembly procedures determine whether an engine performs reliably or fails prematurely.

With more than four decades of experience, we understand how each machining operation affects the complete engine. Every job is approached as part of an operating system—not simply as an individual cylinder, crankshaft or cylinder head.

Our customers range from recreational riders and first-time builders to professional repair shops and experienced racers. Every customer receives the same attention to detail, honest recommendations and commitment to quality.

More Than a Yamaha Blaster Shop

Ken OConnor Racing has earned a strong reputation within the Yamaha YFS200 Blaster community. Through The Blaster Store, we maintain a large inventory of Yamaha Blaster parts, rebuild components, performance products and hard-to-find replacement parts.

However, Blaster engines are only one part of our operation. We regularly machine and rebuild engines for motocross bikes, trail bikes, ATVs, vintage motorcycles and other powersports applications.

If it has a motorcycle- or ATV-style engine, there is a good chance we can help.

Real Information From Working Engine Builders

Our website is also designed to be a technical resource for riders and engine builders. Our technical pages, calculators, videos and service information are based on actual shop experience.

You can use these resources to learn more about carburetor tuning, engine rebuilding, cylinder work, troubleshooting and routine maintenance. The information is created and reviewed by the same people performing the machine work in our shop.

Quality, Service, Price

Our business is built around three principles: Quality, Service and Price.

We believe customers should receive accurate machine work, straightforward communication and fair pricing. If we find a problem during inspection, we explain it. If a part does not need to be replaced, we will not tell you that it does. Our goal is to provide the work your engine needs and deliver results you can depend on.

No excuses—just results.

Ship Your Engine Parts to KOR

You do not need to live in Connecticut to use our engine machining services. Ken OConnor Racing ships and receives engine parts worldwide. Most jobs are completed and shipped in less than ten days, depending on the required service, parts availability and current workload.

Before shipping an engine, cylinder, crankshaft or cylinder head, review our Shipping page.
