Description
The Motion Pro cable luber helps direct aerosol lubricant into compatible motorcycle and ATV control cable housings. It clamps around the cable housing and inner wire, providing a connection point for the lubricant can’s spray tube.
Purpose and application
Use this tool when servicing control cables that permit lubrication. It can be used for compatible Yamaha Blaster cables and other motorcycle or ATV applications. Compatibility depends on the cable housing dimensions and end configuration.
Motion Pro specifies compatibility with most control cables having a housing outside diameter of 5–10 mm.
How it works
Expose the cable end and secure the luber around the housing and wire according to the tool instructions. Connect the aerosol spray tube and apply a suitable cable lubricant. Lubricant emerging from the opposite end indicates that it has passed through the housing.
Follow the cable manufacturer’s maintenance instructions and lubricant recommendations.
Inspect before lubricating
Check for frayed wire, damaged housing, corrosion and binding. Lubrication does not repair a damaged cable. After servicing and reinstalling the cable, verify correct routing, adjustment and free control movement.
