Yamaha Blaster VM26 Choke Knob
The Yamaha Blaster VM26 choke knob and plunger assembly provides a replacement for a damaged or sticking manual starting-enrichment control on a compatible Mikuni VM26 carburetor.
The assembly includes the pull knob and internal plunger components shown in the product photo.
Purpose and operation
Commonly called a choke, this control operates the carburetor’s starting-enrichment circuit. Raising the plunger opens the circuit to provide a richer mixture for cold starting. Returning it to the off position closes the circuit for normal operation.
A damaged plunger or seal can interfere with correct enrichment operation.
Assembly components
The pictured assembly includes:
- Black pull knob
- Threaded mounting section
- Return spring
- Plunger and sealing rings
Fitment and installation
Intended for a compatible Yamaha Blaster Mikuni VM26 carburetor. Confirm the carburetor fitted to your ATV before ordering. Aftermarket replacement carburetors may use different threads, plungers or mounting arrangements.
Inspect the carburetor’s mounting threads and plunger seat during replacement. Install according to the applicable carburetor service instructions and check that the control moves freely and seats correctly when switched off.
