Yamaha Blaster Pro-X Clutch Basket
The Yamaha Blaster Pro-X Clutch Basket is a high-quality replacement for a worn, grooved or damaged original clutch basket. It fits every Yamaha YFS200 Blaster manufactured from 1988 through 2006.
A worn clutch basket can prevent the clutch plates from moving smoothly. Grooves formed along the basket fingers may contribute to clutch drag, difficult shifting, inconsistent engagement or a clutch that does not release properly. Replacing the damaged basket helps restore smooth and predictable clutch operation.
Strong 7075-T6 Aluminum Construction
This Pro-X clutch basket is precision-machined from heat-treated, aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. This material provides excellent strength and resistance to impact and fatigue while keeping rotating weight under control.
The basket is produced to precise OEM dimensions and tolerances for proper fitment with the Yamaha Blaster clutch assembly. It can be used with OEM clutch components or compatible Pro-X replacement clutch parts.
Hard-Anodized, Low-Friction Surface
The complete basket receives a hard-anodized finish that creates a tough, abrasion-resistant surface. This helps reduce wear where the clutch plate tabs contact the basket fingers.
A specialized low-friction coating helps the clutch plate tabs move smoothly across the basket fingers. The result is improved clutch movement, consistent engagement and longer basket life under demanding trail or racing conditions.
When Should a Blaster Clutch Basket Be Replaced?
Inspect your basket whenever the clutch is removed. Replacement may be necessary if you find:
- Deep grooves or notches on the basket fingers
- Cracks, distortion or impact damage
- Excessive clutch drag
- Inconsistent clutch engagement
- Difficulty selecting neutral
- Clutch plates hanging in the basket grooves
Minor marks may be visible on a used basket, but deep grooves should not be filed away repeatedly. Removing too much material increases clearance and can lead to additional clutch noise and poor operation.

Installation Information
The kit includes the required installation fasteners with pre-applied thread-locking compound and an installation tool. The original primary driven gear must be transferred to the new basket during assembly.
Inspect the clutch plates, steel plates, inner hub, pressure plate, thrust washers, needle bearing and clutch cushions while the assembly is apart. Replace any worn or damaged components before reassembly.
Important: Clutch cushions are not included and are sold separately.
