The 1988–2002 Yamaha Blaster originally used a mechanically operated rear brake system. Installing a hydraulic assembly on an earlier Blaster may require additional conversion parts, mounting provisions or fabrication. This kit should not be considered a direct bolt-on conversion for 1988–2002 models unless your machine has already been properly converted.
